A Lot of Absence from Work
– Member is off sick more often than they are at work.
– They have used most credible excuses to be absent form work
– Reasons start becoming more elaborate and extreme

Straddling the Line of Acceptable CAF Behaviours
– The member is doing small things that normally they would consider to be outside their and/or the CAF’s morales, ethics and values
– Member starts acting inappropriately regardless of where they are or who they are around
– Member may have received corrective FNs/verbal warnings or higher disciplinary actions at work

Avoidant Behaviours
– The member actively avoids things/situations they previously would have no issues following through with. Social time with co-workers, answering their phone or texts (on or off duty), standard work mtgs.
– Member may has been caught telling lies in order to get out of plans, projects and/or work events or functions.

Forgetfulness – Out of Character
– Member consistently forgets things when they previously have had no issues, i.e. friends names, recent events, policies, standard job practices, etc
– “Brain fog” or “Not being able to think in a straight line” is now the member’s standard

Noticeable Pattern of Agressive Behaviour
– Member may not know, see or even understand why their emotions seem so aggressive
– Please note that aggression does not always apply to a negative emotion
– Member may appear pushy, super happy, loud, boisterous, etc.

Acting or Reacting to Sounds/Visual Cues That are not There

– Constantly looking around/scanning the area (possibly for a threat).
– Talking to people that aren’t there.
– Reacting to sounds or smells that aren’t there.
– Appears on edge or jumps easily with no obvious threat.
– Seems distracted by something that isn’t there (keeps looking towards the same location).
